It's time to make Burlington shine brighter than ever!

The Burlington Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the 3rd Annual Light Up Burlington Holiday Storefront Competition, taking place November 28 – December 20, 2026!

And this year, we're expanding the holiday magic across ALL of Burlington!

What began as a festive storefront decorating competition along E. Fairhaven Avenue is growing into a citywide celebration of local businesses, holiday creativity, and community spirit.

We're inviting Burlington businesses to transform their storefronts into festive holiday displays, creating a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors to explore our community, discover local favorites, and support the businesses that make Burlington special.

Whether you're admiring the twinkling lights, discovering a new favorite shop, or simply enjoying the holiday atmosphere, Light Up Burlington is all about bringing our community together while encouraging everyone to SHOP LOCAL!

Participating Business Instructions & Prizes

The Burlington Chamber of Commerce invites local businesses to participate in Light Up Burlington 2026 – 3rd Annual Holiday Storefront Competition! This festive, citywide celebration encourages residents and visitors to explore Burlington, support local businesses, and vote for their favorite holiday storefront display.

Participation is FREE!

How to Participate

1. Register Your Business: Complete the Participating Business Entry Form and return it by November 10, 2026, or register online at:

   • Click "Register" and complete form online.

2. Decorate Your Storefront: Create a festive holiday display at your business. Participants are responsible for installing, maintaining, and removing their own decorations.

3. Display Your Voting Sign: The Burlington Chamber will provide a laminated QR code voting sign for participating businesses to display in a visible location.

4. Encourage Community Voting: Invite customers, employees, friends, and visitors to explore participating businesses and vote for their favorite holiday storefront display during the competition.

5. Help Spread the Holiday Cheer: Share your decorated storefront on social media, tagging @BurlingtonChamberWA, and encourage the community to shop local throughout the holiday season!

Participating Business Benefits

• Inclusion on printed and digital holiday maps and brochures.

• Promotion through Burlington Chamber and Visit Burlington WA marketing channels.

• A laminated QR code voting sign.

• Increased visibility among residents and visitors.

• An opportunity to compete for the Brightest Star Trophy!

What Does the Winning Business Receive?

One winning business will receive:

🏆 Brightest Star Trophy & 365 Days of Bragging Rights!
A commemorative trophy recognizing Burlington's brightest holiday storefront display, along with bragging rights for an entire year!

📣 Burlington Chamber Newsletter Advertisement
One winner-provided advertisement published between January and March 2027 in the Burlington Chamber newsletter, reaching more than 1,000 readers. Valid for one publication only.

📱 Social Media Advertisement
One winner-provided advertisement shared on Burlington Chamber and Visit Burlington WA social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, between January and March 2027. Valid for one publication only.

🌟 Winner Spotlight Feature
A special feature highlighting the winning business, its story, and the inspiration behind its festive holiday display.

📸 Winner Announcement & Photo Opportunity
Public recognition of the winning business, including a special winner announcement and photo opportunity to celebrate its achievement and share with the community.
