DESCRIPTION:Have a broken household item you've been meaning to fix? Before throwing it away\, bring it to the NorthWest Free Repair Event at Bellingham Makerspace!\n\nNorthWest Free Repair is a volunteer group dedicated to conserving resources and keeping repairable items out of landfills. Volunteers will evaluate broken or non-functioning items and\, when possible\, work alongside you to repair them for free.\n\nParticipants must remain present and take part during the repair process\, making this a great opportunity to learn how your item works and how it can be fixed.\n\nWhat Can Be Repaired?\n\nExamples include:\n\n\n	Small appliances\n	Kitchen items\n	Tools\n	Electrical items\n	Children's toys\n	Bicycles\n	Other household items that can be comfortably carried into the event\n\n\nWhile not every item can be repaired\, volunteers will also help identify recycling options for items that cannot be fixed.\n\nPlease Do Not Bring\n\n\n	Items containing gasoline or petroleum products\n	Items leaking fluids\n	Dirty\, hazardous or excessively odorous items\n	Major appliances or anything that cannot easily be carried\n	Motor vehicles\n	Items from commercial businesses\n	Items inappropriate for a public setting\n\n\nRepair evaluations and volunteer repair assistance are free. Some basic parts and materials may also be available.
