Geography of Resilience Panel

Join the Museum of Northwest Art for Geography of Resilience, a community panel exploring how local governments, organizations and community leaders are responding to climate change.

Presented as part of the educational programming accompanying MoNA's exhibition Surge: A Geography of Flow, this moderated discussion will bring together voices from throughout the region to explore climate resilience and the ways local communities are preparing for and responding to environmental change.

The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Kathryn Sobocinski, Associate Professor in Western Washington University's Department of Environmental Sciences and Marine and Coastal Science program.

Through perspectives from government, environmental science, agriculture and regional organizations, the panel will invite the public into a broader conversation about resilience and our changing environment.
