Participants will learn how to move beyond transactional asks toward aligned\, mutually beneficial partnerships that create real value for businesses and sustainable support for nonprofits.\n\n\n\nDesigned for:\n\n\n Businesses that receive frequent sponsorship requests\n Nonprofits seeking sponsorship support\n Chamber members who play both roles\n\n\n\n\nLearning Objectives:\n\nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will:\n\n\n Describe the value exchange behind sponsorships by identifying what nonprofits need\, what businesses seek\, and where shared value is created. Identify common sponsorship mistakes that unintentionally create frustration or misalignment - and name practical alternatives that support clearer communication.\n Apply a relationship-based lens to sponsorship conversations by practicing language and approaches that move beyond one-time transactions.\n Use a simple sponsorship checklist to evaluate fit\, set expectations\, and strengthen sponsorship relationships moving forward.\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Presenter: Susan Lange\, ODCP is the Founder and Senior Consultant of S&L Strategic Solutions\, with more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and organizational development.
